Description du service

๐Ÿ‘‰ A whole new material to master: plaster! ๐Ÿ‘ˆ This workshop will give you the basic information and skills to create your own one-part mould of two small objects that you will be able to reproduce in multiple numbers through slip casting. ๐Ÿ”… PROGRAM ๐Ÿ”… Weโ€™ll start with exercises to understand the negative and positive aspects of shapes, identifying which ones require a one-part mould or more. Then, weโ€™ll prepare the box frame for your two small objects. Youโ€™ll learn how to prepare the plaster, the necessary tools, and all the details of the process. By the end of the workshop, you should have two plaster moulds ready to dry for 10 days before testing them with casting slip during a member session. Please note, there is a size limit for the objects to ensure everything can be completed within the workshop's timeframe (20x20x20cm). ๐Ÿ”… SMALL GROUP ๐Ÿ”… The workshop will be limited to a maximum of six participants (12 hands!). Wear clothes that can get messy! ๐Ÿ”… PRICE ๐Ÿ”… The workshop includes all materials to create your moulds. This price also includes slip casting clay to test each of your moulds once during one member session (about 10 days after the workshop, once your moulds have dried). Additional slip casting clay can be purchased at the studio. The price covers the firing of your first slip-casted work (one example per mould). ATTENTION THE MEMBER SESSION ITSELF IS NOT INCLUDED IN THE PRICE!!! Glazing time is not included either, but if you are a member, you can glaze your pieces during member hours. Non-members can join a monthly glazing class and bring their bisque-fired work. โš ๏ธ TERMS AND CONDITIONS โš ๏ธ Please ensure you can attend the full workshop, as it is a process-oriented course.
