🔅 DROP-OFFS 🔅 Drop-off appointments are available on Monday afternoons and Friday mornings. Please schedule your appointment to ensure we can properly receive and handle your work. If you are firing with us for the first time, please email us at info@studio-kiwi.com with the following information: 🔸 A clear photo of your work with an indication of its scale 🔸 The temperature you wish to fire at (950°C or 1250°C) 🔸 A photo of the clay label 🔸 If your work is glazed, please include photos of the glaze labels ⚠️ PLEASE ENSURE ⚠️ 🔸 All your work is clearly signed 🔸 Your work is easy to store and can be carried into the kiln by one person 🔸 None of your work is thicker than 3 cm, or it has been properly hollowed 🔸 Your work is constructed with no air trapped in the clay 🔸 You provide protective plates if using glazes that might drip 🔸 Arrive 10-15 minutes before your appointment if you have more than 10 items to allow time for unpacking TIP: It is safest to transport raw clay work while it is still leather-hard rather than completely dry. 🔅 PRICE 🔅 €5 per drop-off, plus a fee based on the volume of your work, calculated at the workshop: €0.03 per cube for 950°C firing €0.05 per cube for 1250°C firing 🔅 PAYMENT 🔅 By direct bank transfer (Payconiq) or cash at the time of drop-off. 🔅 CONDITIONS 🔅 Firing ceramics involves some risks, and while we strive to minimize them, please be aware of the following conditions: 🔸 If we determine your work could damage our kiln or other pieces during firing, we may refuse to fire it. 🔸 If your work is too complicated or delicate to load and unload safely, we may refuse it. 🔸 If your work damages our kiln or other pieces, you will be liable for: €10 per small glaze stain on our kiln 🔸 The cost of a new kiln shelf if there is more than a small stain (€70) 🔸 Twice the volume fee for pieces damaged 🔸The cost of maintenance if other parts of the kiln are damaged or faulty 🔸 If we accidentally damage your work, we will refund the firing fee and provide a voucher for the same volume of firing.
